As we take time to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, local spots across the Valley are also offering ways to gather with friends and family. From live music and special events to delicious food and drink offerings, here’s where you can eat, drink, and enjoy the long weekend.

Events:

Queen Creek Olive Mill – Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with the return of Grill at the Mill, a festive three-day event at Queen Creek Olive Mill from May 24–26. Enjoy a weekend filled with grill-inspired food, live music, lawn games in the olive grove, and all-day Olive Oil 101 tours. Admission is free, and the fun runs Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday and Monday from 10 AM to 5 PM. With a full lineup of live music each day and plenty of family-friendly activities, it’s the perfect way to kick off summer. Bring your appetite and your friends—they’ll handle the rest! 

The Hot Chick – The Hot Chick in Scottsdale is going all out this Memorial Day Weekend with themed drink specials and a “Glizzy Party”on Saturday, May 24. Memorial Dayweekend partiers can expect staff in hot dog costumes and even score FREE hot dogs at midnight. There will also be plenty to sip on including playful cocktails like the  “Get Loopy” shot and the “Watermelon Smash, ”available all weekend long.

Diego Pops – This Memorial Day, Diego Pops, the modern taco hotspot in Old Town Scottsdale, is honoring those who serve with 20% off all food for active military and veterans (excluding alcohol – offer valid Monday, May 26). With bold flavors, playful twists on Mexican classics, and a vibrant atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to kick back and celebrate the holiday weekend.

Sandfish Sushi & Whiskey – This Memorial Day, Sandfish Sushi & Whiskey in the Melrose District is showing appreciation to those who serve with a 20% discount for active military and veterans on Monday, May 26. Known for its artful fusion of Scandinavian design and Japanese cuisine, Sandfish offers an elevated dining experience perfect for honoring the holiday in style.

Hash Kitchen – This Memorial Day weekend, Hash Kitchen, the creative AM eatery behind the Valley’s buzzing brunch scene, is serving up a festive special at all six locations. Guests can toast to the holiday with “Freedom on the Rocks”, a themed red, white and blue cocktail available for $14 throughout the weekend.
